The Cynic at Large
Meandering thoughts and spiritual nudges of a tamed cynic
Welcome to my blog. It expresses my thoughts, opinions and biases on issues, ideas, mindful theology, peace and justice that filter my mind and being. Nothing is off limits.
My hope is to engage you in conversation that doesn’t necessarily solve anything but clarifies our positions on given issues. We can agree to disagree and still respect one another’s point of view. I have no intention to make you believe as I do. My truth is formulated on my experience and reason and always subject to change. I welcome your comments. This is an “as the Spirit moves” blog confined only to my whim and need to say something.

A Modern Christmas Story

Israel and Palestine: Where Do We Go From Here?
I don’t know about you, but I have been absolutely disheartened by the events of October 7, and the “war” that has followed in the Holy Land. My sensitivities have been numbed and I am [...]
Angel’s Lament
Back in 2007, I wrote and recorded a music video entitled "Angel's Lament.” It was, and still is, a song of protest against the exploitation of the political poor, and the outright abuse, prejudice [...]
A Case for an Aramaic Jesus
I am a perpetual student of the Bible. More specifically, of the New Testament. I am not an academic, nor have a pedigree that distinguishes me as an expert on anything Biblical, other than 50+ [...]
My Conversation With God, Part 2
Some of the concepts in this conversation have been shared before by Neal Donald Walsh in his Conversation with God books. Therefore, it makes sense that God’s truth, shared through the lens of Neal Donald [...]
A Personal Note: My Conversation with God
